Heritage, Carefully Considered
Understanding What Matters
Some homes don’t need to be changed. They need to be understood.
For this project, the priority was to retain the character and warmth of a traditional property while
improving performance and reducing maintenance. The client wanted the look and feel of timber
without introducing anything that felt out of place.
A Considered Approach
Every decision was made with the existing home in mind.
Flush sash windows and French doors were selected to sit naturally within the architecture,
maintaining familiar proportions and clean lines. A soft Agate Grey finish brings a calm, understated
tone externally, while a white woodgrain interior keeps the spaces inside feeling light and open.
To reflect traditional craftsmanship, mechanically jointed frames were specified throughout. It’s a
subtle detail, but one that gives the windows a more authentic, enduring quality.
Hardware was chosen with equal care. Antique black handles provide a quiet contrast, reinforcing
the home’s character without drawing unnecessary attention.
The Details That Matter
The success of the project lies in what you don’t immediately see.
Ventilation was integrated discreetly through concealed trickle vents, avoiding any disruption to the
façade. Externally, traditional pointing techniques were used to remove visible sealants, resulting in
a cleaner, more architectural finish.
Nothing added unnecessarily. Nothing overlooked.
The Outcome
The finished home feels balanced and familiar, just as it should.
From a distance, the changes are subtle. Up close, the quality and attention to detail become clear.
It’s an approach that respects the past while quietly improving how the home performs today.
Every aspect considered. Let’s talk.
